Patrick Grantz & David Smith - 2002

DHP A Success in 2002 Thanks To Your Support !

Thanks to all of you who supported the Disabled Hunter program we were again able to attain all the goals of the program.

We sent two disabled PA hunters to Paradise Ranch for a management doe hunt. A special thanks to Donny Beaver and his staff for a memorable experience.

They are David Smith from Lancaster PA and Patrick Gantz from Lewistown PA. This was a management doe hunt that occurred from noon on Oct. 28 thru noon Oct. 30, 2002.

We would also like to thank another of our corporate sponsors, Tru-woods Camouflage for providing camouflage outfits for our hunters and future hunts.

We also sent a sizable donation to Hunt of a lifetime, Physically Challenged Bowhunters of America and Buckmasters Disabled hunter Services. These donations will help sponsor other hunters in their programs. Our 2 hunters were successful in harvesting deer at Paradise and enjoyed the experience. I have included their thank you notes below so you all can see how much the DHP means to these hunters and realize that without your support there would be no DHP.

Thank you from Patrick Gantz:

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone that made my first disabled hunt possible. United Bowhunters, Tru-woods Camo clothing, and Paradise Ranch. A special thank you to Patrick Strawser, my guide. If we saw no deer and just spent a few days at the lodge that would have been enough. The hunt began the first night we arrived and did not stop until the day we departed. I had the chance to see some huge bucks and harvest a nice doe.

If this was not a management hunt I would have had several chances to harvest a trophy buck. This was my first hunt since an archery accident that left me paralyzed, needless to say I still have the hunting bug and can't wait to go again.
